TeneLearning had the privilege of hosting participants from Poland as part of the Erasmus+ project "Kaszëbi na Tenerife!", financed by the European Union under ACTION 1: Mobility of adult learners and staff in adult education – short-term projects (KA122-ADU). This initiative fostered cultural exchange, enhanced language skills, and strengthened international collaboration.
A Celebration of Kashubian Traditions
A key highlight of the program was a dedicated cultural event showcasing the richness of Kashubian heritage. Participants from Poland shared their traditions through:
- Traditional clothing, featuring intricate designs and craftsmanship.
- Music and singing, reflecting the unique identity and history of the Kashubian people.
- Storytelling sessions, bringing Kashubian history, customs, and values to life.
- Culinary traditions, offering a taste of Kashubian cuisine and its historical influences.
- This cultural exchange emphasized the importance of heritage preservation and promoted mutual understanding between participants.
Workshops and Learning Activities
In addition to cultural immersion, the program provided participants with opportunities to develop key skills through interactive workshops and language training. Activities included:
- Discussions on cultural differences and the impact of mobility on personal and professional growth.
- Cultural presentations by the Rural Housewives’ Circle from Nakla, introducing the Kashubian language, history, and customs.
- English language workshops, focusing on practical communication skills essential for international engagement.
- Spanish language sessions, incorporating role-playing exercises to enhance participants' ability to navigate real-life situations.
These sessions contributed to participants' personal and professional development, equipping them with valuable linguistic and intercultural competencies.
Strengthening International Collaboration
The "Kaszëbi na Tenerife!" project demonstrated the power of Erasmus+ initiatives in fostering meaningful connections across borders. By engaging in cultural exchange and language learning, participants not only broadened their perspectives but also built lasting relationships with peers from different backgrounds.
TeneLearning remains committed to supporting such initiatives, reinforcing its dedication to lifelong learning, international cooperation, and the celebration of cultural diversity. Gratitude is extended to all participants and partners who contributed to the success of this experience.
This event serves as a testament to the importance of cultural exchange in today’s interconnected world, paving the way for future collaborations and learning opportunities.
