Main Aim: The project aims to empower youth with entrepreneurial and green skills, enabling them to develop sustainable business models by repurposing waste, promoting a circular economy, and creating employment opportunities in green industries.
Objectives:
Equip Youth with Green Skills: Engage 60 young people in hands-on workshops to develop sustainable business ventures in waste management.
Activities:
- Research & Toolkit Creation: Conducting local studies on waste materials and developing a practical handbook for waste-based entrepreneurship.
- International Training in Netherlands: A 4-day intensive training for youth workers on sustainable business development and waste upcycling.
- Local Awareness & Pilot Projects: Mentoring 20 youth per country to develop upcycled product prototypes like biodegradable packaging or recycled furniture.
- Final Conference & Dissemination: A showcase event in Lithuania to present successful waste-to-wealth initiatives and project results.
Expected Outcomes and Results:
- A Green Business Toolkit (OER), training modules, and at least 30 upcycled product prototypes.
- Increased Employability: Youth gain entrepreneurial skills and business knowledge relevant to green industries.
- Sustainability Awareness: 70% of participants adopt eco-conscious behaviors and advocate for waste reduction.
- Stronger Collaboration: Enhanced intercultural innovation and established networks between youth organizations and eco-entrepreneurs.
- Long-term Impact: Continued use of project resources and the adoption of green business models beyond the project duration.
